My symptoms  are relatively minor: forgetting names or words for several seconds, needing to document my plans more thoroughly than previously, some balance issues, and my typing is slow so I use dictation software.

The first couple months of the diagnosis were scary and included a lot of grieving, but now I and my family are in a much better place, and I am fighting the disease with some success.

According to the neurologist, the disease was probably triggered by stress and grief so I encourage you to take stress seriously and be intentional about grieving.
