My very active and vibrant mom had a relatively short, but brutal battle with Alzheimer's, ending in September 2022. I still miss her every day, and unfortunately, it is hard to forget the last 6 months of her life when her quality of life (and sadly quality of care) were so lacking.    

As it happens, this walk falls around my birthday each year, and what better way to celebrate than by honouring my mother in the IG Walk for Alzheimer's in hopes that the funds raised will result in better outcomes and quality of life for those afflicted with dementia.
