On June 27th, we will walking for our Dad/Papa who always found so much joy in walking and we will carry all of the love, joy and hope he so generously gave us throughout his lifetime. We also walk for all of those who are bravely living with Alzheimer's disease.

It has been five years since I have been able to enjoy one of my favourite things in life and that is having a conversation with my Dad where we would laugh, love, and solve the world's problems with a coffee in our hand. He is alive and I sure do miss him.

My Dad's favourite bible verse is, I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me, and my Dad sure has proven God's word to be true as he lives with this very difficult disease. It has been incredibly painful to to let him go, bit by bit, ever so slowly. However, his beautiful smile and joyful laugh still burst through the clouds illuminating his amazing soul and that is the hope that floats. 

By making a donation, you are helping the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba continue to provide valuable programs and services for families affected by dementia, while funding research to help find a cure.

Currently, more than 20,300 Manitobans are diagnosed with dementia and 62 per cent are directly impacted by the disease.
