Steve McNeil's 1926 Skate in Manitoba

Hi everyone,
I'm Steve McNeil and I have skated in Toronto for the past 8 years in honour of my mom and mother-in-law who both had dementia (Alzheimer's), for my caregiver wife as well as all the caregivers and families dealing with the challenges of dementia. I bring awareness and raise funds for the local society by skating 19 hours and 26 minutes.
My mother was born December 15, 1926.
This year I am back in Winnipeg, Manitoba for the 2nd year in a row.
I am skating Saturday, January 25 from 5pm to Sunday, January 26 finishing at 12:26pm at The Forks with details on my site at www.1926skate.com.
Your donation will go directly to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
Every skate I have done, I listened only to AC/DC for the whole time.
I am a hockey referee in Ontario and I am very comfortable being out in the cold for many hours. Please drop by and visit me during my skate, share my story, or you can follow my skating activity on twitter at www.twitter.com/1926skate
Some friends even come by to drop off a Tim Hortons large Double Double in a Double Cup :)
A donation of $19.26 or more for Alzheimer Society of Manitoba would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks for any support you can offer.
