Person-centred care is at the core of dementia care. By understanding a person’s life experiences, support systems, personality and ways of coping, the individual’s physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs can be better met.
Dementia care involves constant interaction between the person living with dementia, their families and friends, the healthcare team and the community. Ongoing communication and sharing of information and strategies are key to supporting those impacted by dementia to live well throughout their journey.
This video on demand education series explores person-centred strategies for community service and healthcare providers caring for people living with dementia. It aims to cover strategies and approaches that are foundational in dementia care and useful in home, community and healthcare settings.
For $30, you get access to all four video on demand sessions to view at your own pace, with the first video releasing on March 4, 2025. After watching all videos, you will receive a certificate of completion.
